Claydon Drills have announced a 0% finance* offer, valid until 20 December 2017, on its full range of products. Calculated on 1 + 2 annual payments, based on 50% of the Recommended Retail Price, with VAT charged at the prevailing UK rate at the time of acceptance, the offer is available on new and demonstration equipment purchased direct from Claydon or through participating dealers.
The Claydon range includes the versatile, flexible and simple Hybrid M mounted drills, with five models available from 3m to 6m wide, together with the six Hybrid T trailed drills from 3m to 8m, all of which can drill direct into stubble, min-till or ploughed soils. The offer also extends to Claydon Straw Harrows, with working widths of 3m, 7.5m, 12.5m and 15m, together with the fast, effective 6m Claydon TerraStar light rotary cultivator, Claydon Rolls from 6.3m to 12.3m wide and the recently-announced Claydon TerraBlade M6 inter-row hoe.
Spencer Claydon, Commercial Director, states: “At a time of considerable uncertainty in the agricultural sector farmers must do everything possible to reduce their production costs, one of the largest being crop establishment.
“The patented Claydon direct strip seeding technique enables them to strip cultivate, drill the seed and apply fertiliser if required all in one pass, directly into stubble or cultivated soils. This dramatically reduces the time, fuel, labour, wearing metal and cost involved in establishing combinable crops. The savings will help to offset the purchase of Claydon products, with the bonus of significantly improved timeliness, higher yields and margins, improved soil condition and greatly-reduced weather risk.
“Using the Claydon System, one hectare of combinable crops can be established in 26 minutes at a cost of £51/ha, compared with 42 minutes/£112/ha for a min-till system and 1 hours 50 minutes/£148/ha for a traditional plough-based system. Farmers can work out how much they could save with the Claydon System using the Cost Saving Calculator on the Claydon website (www.claydondrills.com/savings-calculator).”
Claydon Drills was started in 2002 by arable farmer Jeff Claydon after grain prices fell to levels which made it uneconomic to produce crops using conventional plough-based establishment methods. Unable to buy the right machinery, he developed the Claydon System and has seen demand for Claydon products increase continually as farmers all over the world seek new, more efficient ways to establish their crops. Claydon products are now sold in more than 30 countries around the world and are proven across the widest range of climatic conditions, soils and crops.
