Amazonen-Werke has held its traditional ‘Amatechnica’ field day, the event which takes place around 6 months after Agritechnica.
Around 4,000 farmers, contractors and sales people Germany along with 2,000 more from 29 overseas countries took part in the event at Hasbergen-Gaste. The day offered visitors the opportunity to get up to date with the current innovations in the Amazone agricultural and ground care machinery programme.
The main objective of the event was to show, all the Agritechnica innovations at work, which meant visitors were able to enjoy 65 machines on static display, 31 machines taking part in a machinery drive past as well as the 16 machines in field operation.
In the demonstrations, the increasing working widths in soil tillage was a leading trend and how the use of electronics in particular within fertilisation, crop protection and sowing technology further improves machine accuracy.
At the “Information Centre for Precision Farming” visitors found out about the current developments in the area of Precision Farming. Here the focus was not only on the functionality and easy handling of machines but there were also demonstrations showing how electronics can help save costs and the environment.
