Strong and growing demand from both the UK and export markets has encouraged Claydon Drills to appoint Rob Iddeson as Sales Development Manager. This new position reflects Claydon’s ongoing development and the significant potential which exists to further develop sales of its Hybrid Drills, Straw Harrows, TerraStar and Cambridge Rolls.
Reporting to Spencer Claydon, Commercial Director, Rob will support the company’s domestic and international sales teams, using the knowledge and experienced he has gained from senior roles with machinery manufacturers and retailers in the UK and overseas.
He joins Claydon after six years with the Claas Group, latterly as Sales Director of Claas Western Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary, and previously as General Manager (Director) of Southern Harvesters Ltd, where he was responsible for overseeing the entire retail farm machinery business. Prior to that Rob was with Simba International for six years, initially as Territory Sales Manager for the Central Southern and South East areas of the UK, before being promoted to Area Sales Manager for France.
Rob will be responsible for further developing the company’s overall sales and distribution structure to augment the business at a time of significant growth and opportunity. A key part of the company’s strategy to take its business to the next level, he is working closely with Claydon’s existing management, staff and dealers to develop sales, as well as introducing new outlets in the UK and overseas markets. Rob’s extensive experience and knowledge of agricultural dealerships will be of particular benefit to importers of Claydon products in helping them to develop their own strong, profitable distribution structures.
“This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing UK-based company which manufactures a unique range of products that can either be operated together as a complete crop establishment system or, individually, integrated into other systems to enhance their effectiveness,” Rob states.
