Want to find out how cutting-edge R&D is bringing better quality generic crop protection products to market?
Visitors to the Life Scientific stand at Croptec will be able to do just this. Top chemists and technical experts will be on hand to share how the company’s unique ability to reverse engineer a product from the reference product is bringing better quality generic off-patent products to market faster, , increasing product choice to UK growers and agronomists.
This step change in the pace in which off-patent products come to market is increasingly significant in our current highly unpredictable regulatory environment, explains Life Scientific’s technical manager, Ruth Stanley.
“So how do we do this? Innovation is at the heart of everything we do. Our scientists navigate complex organic and analytical chemistry and regulatory requirements to develop optimised formulations.”
“In this way we are confident that our products stand up to the most rigorous scientific and regulatory standards, meaning that our off patent products are as effective as the current leading standards in the market.”
“Since launching into the UK market back in 2017, we have continued to focus on the UK market and we now have more than 12 products for use. “
But the work doesn’t stop here, she adds. “We have several new projects underway looking at a range of seed treatments and adjuvants, that we hope to launch in the near future.”
“We also invest a large amount of resource into generating data to support our product performance on farm,” says Mrs Stanley. “Working with independent experts, we are looking into application techniques to improve timing and persistency for our herbicides and insecticides.”
“For example BYDV control is currently at the forefront of minds and this is an area of focus for our scientists; we hope to offer a better understanding on how timing and application of insecticides can improve control. “
Visitors to the stand will be able to talk through any of these areas. There will also be a chance to enter a free prize draw to win an exclusive Alan Paine shooting coat.
