Horsch new Cruiser cultivators take the stage at Agritechnica

The new 5m and 6m Cruiser XL trailed cultivator fills the gap between the 3-point linkage mounted models and the 10m and 12m trailed versions. With its six bars, the Cruiser has a 700mm frame height to ensure large quantities of organic material cause no problems.

The cultivator can be equipped with four different cultivation points making it ideal for stubble cultivation with optimum straw distribution after combining, seedbed preparation, as a fine cultivator for mechanical weed control or for loosening and venting the soils in spring.

The new HORSCH spring tine runs above the frame for a clearance of 700mm, up from 600mm. Its geometry allows for an easy upward rebounding without a large trip release height. This eases the stress on the material and increases the service life considerably. With a release force of 150kg, it constantly maintains the working depth of up to 15cm even in the difficult conditions.

The chassis of the Cruiser XL is located behind the tine section, in front of the levelling tools, and the working depth is adjusted via the support wheels at the front and the packer. The Cruiser XL is equipped with a fully integrated tractive power amplifier that transfers weight to the rear axle of the tractor while working by using lifting and lowering hydraulics in depressurised condition.
