HORSCH has announced a comprehensive range of updates for its cultivation, drilling and spraying equipment in addition to new models at this year’s Agritechnica show.
• Avatar SD available in 3m and 4m working width
• Express 4 KR available as a folding version
• Leeb LT ECO adds new model to trailed sprayer family
• ATP Control for intelligent and automatic control of tyre pressure
• RowControl, the new SectionControl distribution tower with single-row shut off
The new Avatar SD, in 3m and 4m working widths, is a compact seed drill that is ideal for direct seeding or catch crop populations. In cases of black grass resistance, the Avatar’s low disturbance of the seedbed when sowing with the single disc coulter helps prevent the black grass from germinating.
The coulter pressure of up to 310kg guarantees penetration into the soil. The strong coulter frame eliminates sideways movement, which ensures that the coulter keeps to the set sowing depth even on uneven soils. A press wheel then closes the seed furrow and consolidates the seed row.
In addition to the rigid version, a folding 4m Express KR now is available with a 3m transport width to add flexibility. The Express KR is the universal 3-point mounted seed drill with the well-proven TurboDisc double-disc seed coulter in combination with the power harrow Kredo.
The 4 KR is equipped with either the trapeze ring roller or the tooth packer. The 14 rotors guarantee a perfect seedbed preparation even in most difficult conditions and with an operational speed of up to 13kph. For the folding version, the adjustment of working depth and sowing depth is very easy and quick.
The new Leeb LT Eco joins the CCS (Continuous Cleaning System) and CCS Pro versions and is available in 4, 5 and 6,000 litre capacities with plastic tanks. The Leeb LT ECO features a 400-l/min piston diaphragm pump driven by a pto-shaft that supplies the sprayer with water. To control the water cycle, manually operated valves are installed at the suction and the pressure sides.
HORSCH ATP (Adaptive Tyre Pressure) Control for is available on all Leeb sprayers and enables efficient plant protection while preserving soil condition. Spraying at just the right moment is critical but wet soil conditions can lead to excessive compaction, particularly with larger tanks sizes.
The new ATP Control system automatically controls the tyre pressure, via an ISOBUS terminal, depending on the tank level and other parameters, such as driving on the road or in the field. This enables low pressure and large contact area when in the field and high pressure and control for safe driving on the road with the optimum tyre pressure set automatically and easily.
RowControl, the new SectionControl distribution tower with single-row shut off
A new level of precision in single grain row management is offer by RowControl, the new SectionControl distribution tower with single-row shut off. Available for universal seed drills, like the Pronto or Express, RowControl ensures overlapping and missing areas are a thing of the past with precisely sowed strips that save inputs.
