Massey Ferguson add new tractors to MF 5700 range

Massey Ferguson has added two new tractors to its MF 5700 Global Series to reinforce its strength in the below 130hp sector.

Designed and built in Massey Ferguson’s Beauvais facility in France, the new 110hp, MF 5710 and 110hp, MF 5711 tractors complement the 75hp to 95hp MF 4700 Series tractors, launched last year.

“Like the MF 4700 Series, which was launched last year, the MF 5700 Series are the only tractors purpose built specifically for this power bracket,” explains Campbell Scott, Director Marketing Services and Public Relations.

“The modern, straightforward design ensures the tractors are ideally suited to a range of operations on livestock, dairy and mixed farms. As well as making ideal loader tractors, the MF 5700 Series also deliver high performance with ease of operation for a wide range of fieldwork as well as transport applications,” adds Mr Scott.

MF 5700 Series is equipped with a large, air conditioned, high spec cab. The modern design includes high levels of control and automation, with an ergonomically designed layout making the tractors easy to use, with straightforward operation and features seldom found in this tractor sector.

Both of the tractors are powered by the latest 4.4 litre, four cylinder AGCO Power engine, which meets Stage IV/Tier 4 Final emission regulations.

Massey Ferguson has also used a completely new 12 x 12 gearbox designed specifically for the new range. Direction changes are made using a standard left-hand mechanical shuttle, with hydraulic activation. Alternatively, Massey Ferguson’s Power Control lever is an option that provides finger-tip direction changes.

The three-point linkage’s maximum lift capacity of 4,300kg enables the MF 5700 Series to handle modern implements with ease using Massey Ferguson’s electronic hitch control (ELC).

A two-speed 540/540E rpm is fitted as standard, with control by a independent PTO (IPTO) clutch, while electro-hydraulic operation ‘eases’ the engagement and protects the driveline. There is the option of a 540/1,000rpm speed PTO, or a 540/540Eco/1,000rpm PTO.
