Mitas Tyres UK previewed its new HCM (High Capacity Municipal) range alongside a full range of agricultural tyres including latest additions to its very high flexion VF products at Cereals.
“Featuring a unique cascade tread design, HCM is a versatile tyre that can be fitted to agricultural tractors, handlers and loaders,” says Mitas UK managing director Jon Ward.
“The cascade shape of the tread lugs is a unique feature of the new tyres with the ‘stepped’ tread pattern offering better traction and self-cleaning properties than conventional designs.”
With a D speed category (65 km/h) the new HCM tyres are also well suited to road transportation,” he said.
“Mitas HCM boasts low noise emissions and vibration, thanks to different length of pitches and their alignment along the circumference. They can also be equipped with spikes for winter conditions making them a truly all-round, all-year tyre.”
Mitas also display VF high flexion tyres to demonstrate to visitors how running these at low inflation pressures can reduce soil damage and compaction compared to conventional tyres.
“The extremely flexible sidewalls of VF tyres allow operators to use lower inflation pressures than normal without damaging them. This provides excellent traction efficiency and also offers better ground protection thanks to reduced soil compaction.”
