Tickets are now on sale for this year’s Cereals Event (14-15 June). This year you can make even more of the event with a two-day ticket costing only £32. Book now and save over 15% on gate prices.
As 2017 is Cereals’ 40th anniversary, it promises to be a celebration of all things arable, bringing together nearly 500 exhibitors to showcase the latest machinery, crop and business developments.
Spanning over 64ha on a working farm and attracting over 24,000 visitors every year, Cereals is a hotspot for arable innovation. Visitors can expect everything from advice on how to boost returns with specialist crops, and working demonstrations of cultivation equipment to the latest cutting edge technology in Syngenta’s Sprays and Sprayers Area and the Drone Zone.
Now 20m long, The Soil Pit offers visitors an opportunity to get below ground and see the roots of conventional and cover crops, soil horizons and – new for 2017 – the effects of compaction.
Sponsored by NIAB TAG and Rothamsted, this year’s crops will include winter and spring beans, wheat and oats, as well as cover crops like vetch, radish and a radish/oat mix.
Yara will also be taking samples throughout the soil profile, to illustrate the importance of measuring nutrients before choosing how – and where – to apply fertiliser.
With an on-site flying cage for short flights and and a nearby field for longer flights plus a screen to display the collected data this year’s drone is bigger and better.
Find out how specialist crops could bring financial and agronomic benefits to your rotation. Crops include linseed, borage, quinoa, high eurcic acid rapeseed and canary seed.
And there’s more….keep your eyes peeled for news on the NEW Fields of the Future feature as well as product launches and of course, heated debates in the Arable Conference.
There is also a new ticketing system. There will no longer be paper registration forms; when you buy a ticket this year you’ll be asked to create an account. Your details will be remembered saving you time in future years.
